Chord and lyric editor
I was adding a new song to my own platform the other day, when I kept running into annoying issue after issue when adding chords and lyrics. Earlier in the year I'd started working on a prototype for a new editor for chords, and this was the final kick I needed to wrap that work up and release the changes. This new editor uses ChordPro chord syntax ([A], [Gsus4], etc) more directly, and it should be much more stable and easy to use. If you're an artist, please try it out and let me know how you find it!
Artist newsletters
This feature is something that has flown under the radar, but did you know that you can follow artists and receive email alerts when they send out a newsletter? This is a way of connecting artists to those who are interested in their music. I've made various updates to the system to make it more robust, and newsletters sent out in a month will also be linked in the monthly email that gets sent out to everyone.
Coming in 2026
I'm working on a revamp of the site design, that will particularly focus on making it easier to discover new music on the homepage, and make navigation easier (particularly on mobile). I'm also working on an Android mobile app as a way to fix the problem of playback stopping after a song has finished when the screen is off. These are both fairly big jobs, but I'd like to have them released in the first half of the year.
