Lord Almighty and Most Merciful (A Confession)

Verse

Lord Almighty and most merciful,
we have strayed from holy ways.
We have followed our own faithless hearts,
turned from Christ our fickle gaze.
We have scorned the wisdom of your laws,
and have squandered hallowed work,
and without your grace, no health remains
for the weary souls of earth.

Lord Almighty and most merciful,
spare all those who faults confess,
and restore the truly penitent
by your gracious promises.
For the sake of Jesus, grant that we
may pursue the narrow way,
living godly, righteous, sober lives
to the glory of your Name.
