Now I Lay at the Altar (Common Good)

Now I lay at the altar
all the work that I have done
and the tasks that yet remain.
Whether known or unnoticed,
they were crafted out of love
for the glory of Jesus’ name.
If I’ve erred in thought or word or deed,
bend my heart so it beats as it should.
O to love and to serve you
both in beauty and in truth,
and always for the common good.
