Lord, now with Thanks for your Mercy we Come (Romans 12)

Verse 1

Lord, now with thanks for your mercy we come,

Off’ring ourselves as our worship to you

Sacrified lives,

Holy and pure,

Pleasing to you;

Seeking to test and discern your good will.

Refrain 1

Transform our hearts, renew our minds,

That our lives may be pleasing to you,

Our lives may be pleasing to you.

Verse 2

Lord, our desire is to stay near to you,

Fed by your spirit, with zeal for your truth

Joyful in hope,

Patient through trials,

Faithful in prayer.

Seeking to serve you in all that we do.

Verse 3

Lord, by your grace you have given us gifts,

Each to fulfil roles of worth in your Church.

That as we serve,

Love is the key,

Honouring all.

Everyone part of your body on earth.

Verse 4

Lord, you instruct us to bless, not to curse,

Humbly to stand with those diff’rent from us;

Stripped of conceit,

Sharing in grief,

Living in peace;

Seeking to overcome evil with good.

Refrain 2

Transform our hearts, renew our minds,

That our lives may be pleasing to you,

Our lives may be pleasing to you.

Transform our hearts, renew our minds,

That our lives may be pleasing to you,

Our lives may be pleasing to you.
