We wanted a song that celebrated the goodness of the Lord here and now, but also reflected the fact that it is us as followers of Jesus, with the help of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, that bring that goodness into the places we inhabit each day. Based on Psalm 27
Taking Hannah's words from 1 Samuel 2: 1-10, I have created this reflection and prayer for a more just and equitable world. This song might also have been titled "Song of Hannah: a Hymn of Praise and Protest". The hymn is free to use but please report congregational use to One License or CCLI.

Resound Worship, Marcus Pagnam
I was reflecting on the Doxecology project and also thinking about the word ‘Resound’ - and the basic song came pretty quickly while I was driving on a long journey. It started off as my attempt to write a modern ‘How great Thou art’ with all of creation singing praise to the God who brings salvation and restoration to all of creation. However it quickly became clear that the subject matter was too big for this song, so after numerous Resound writing sessions I finally came to the conclusion it needed to be more to the point - that then released me to focus on the song as a call to worship. The verses went through many lyrical re-writes and the bridge was added at some point, using Revelation 4 which I hope gives a sense of call to eternal, everlasting praise.

A fun celebratory song looking at the Trinity for inspiration of how to display and live out greater self control.

This song is based primarily on Psalm 8 and might be used as an offertory song in worship or when there a focus on God's creation. I would describe the style as Contemporary Christian with a Celtic influence, although there's an 80's vibe in there somewhere! This song was written as a part of Resound Worship's 12 Song Challenge.
Resound Worship’s 12 Song Challenge this month was to take inspiration from the great creeds of the church. I was at the annual Resound Worship Songwriters’ Retreat at Wydale Hall in Yorkshire, UK so had plenty of time to reflection, and I took inspiration from the Nicene Creed. Pairing up with the very talented Sue Crossman of Hopestream Worship, we came up with this.
Each verse focusses on expanding, in language simple enough for children, each person of the Trinity. Since writing it, we’ve used it regularly in our Sunday School and family services and it’s a hit with young and old alike.

This was written for a "Closing Songs" Challenge as part of the 2022/23 12 Song Challenge. This was the first time in all my challenges where I played my Joker card to allow feedback on a song I was already working on.
