I love fast songs that have substance, so that was my aim in writing this song. It speaks about the different aspects of Jesus, from creation of the world to dying on a cross, from his unknowableness to his intimate love for us. Works well as a song to wake a congregation :)
This song is almost literally word-for-word from Colossians 1:15-20 (ESV), which is about the supremacy of Christ. I wrote this song as part of the 12 Song Challenge, where the theme for the month was writing songs using word-for-word portions of scripture.
Written as part of 2024's 12 Song Challenge, where the theme was "commitment songs". The song is based on John 15, where Jesus talks about us being branches on the vine.
