This song explores what a 'living sacrifice' can look like in our lives.
Inspired by the ‘Straight to the Heart’ Bible Study book on Paul’s Letter to the Romans where Chapter 12 breaks down what it means to be a ‘living sacrifice’ into three areas: living towards God, towards the Church, and towards others.
The items it highlights are each relatively small – faithful prayer, offering our gifts which may include hospitality, looking out for and humbly serving others in difficulty, both in and outside the church – but with our hearts and outlook focussed on God rather than ourselves.

Written as part of the Resound Worship 12 Song Challenge in July 2024, this song combines and updates the words of two Isaac Watts hymns ("And now another day is gone" and "From all that dwell below the skies").
Ideal for personal worship and prayer at the end of the day, it expresses gratitude for the day just gone and hope for rest and a faith-filled future.
Musically - imagine what Pink Floyd would sound like if Isaac Watts had joined as a lyricist...
This song based on Isaiah 41:10 puts the ancient text into a modern setting. "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you..." This song is free to use but please report congregational use to One License or CCLI.
Taking Hannah's words from 1 Samuel 2: 1-10, I have created this reflection and prayer for a more just and equitable world. This song might also have been titled "Song of Hannah: a Hymn of Praise and Protest". The hymn is free to use but please report congregational use to One License or CCLI.

Starting from John 1, this song explores how the Word of God was present at creation and through Jesus, is available through his Spirit to help us live for him, and will be there in judgment at the end of time.
A simple song for the Whole of Life, or for Advent (verses 1,2 and 4).
