Our lives are full of the labors of home-building: building houses, defending communities, raising children. And yet in all this we are prone to “anxious toil”, an acute awareness that even our best efforts are not sufficient to secure good outcomes. Unless God builds our home, we labor in vain. As Jesus put it: God who cares for each sparrow and lily will surely also guard and help us. In Him we find our deepest assurance of God’s compassionate care for his people.
A song for someone. "How long, O Lord, will you hide your face?"
I wrote this lament with a particular person in mind, but we all have times where it could be for us.

This song based on Isaiah 41:10 puts the ancient text into a modern setting. "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you..." This song is free to use but please report congregational use to One License or CCLI.
I do write slow songs, but the fast ones keep breaking through. This song is based on my favourite chapter of the Bible, Romans 8. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, and nothing now can separate us from His love.
A song reminding us to commit our ways to the Lord first, echoing the words of Psalm 127.

"God is good, His love endures forever" in Hebrew is the shortest song in the bible.
In 2 Chronicles when Solomon dedicated the temple to God, many musicians in the band played a fanfare on trumpets & other instruments, and as the crowd sang these words the temple was filled like a cloud with the glory of God.
Later in the book the song is used again after Jehoshaphat was told "You will not have to fight this battle ... Do not be afraid ... The Lord will be with you."
