Something completely new for this songwriter; a Contemporary Christian dance song promoting dance/movement/liturgical dance in worship through the example of three biblical characters. The song might be used with a "young-at-heart" group or in services focusing on dance and movement.
This song is taken from the book of Ruth, chapter 1, and might be used at services where this scripture is a focus, as a closing hymn or for weddings/celebrations of life partnerships. The song was originally written to celebrate the 40th anniversary of a couple who had used this scripture passage at their wedding.
A contemporary Christmas song based on Luke 2: 8-20. This is the author's first complete song, written some 50 years ago! Please report any congregational use to One License or CCLI. John 11:35, the shortest verse in the Bible, it the theme running through this song. I expanded on this verse referring to the death of Lazarus, to cite other examples when Jesus wept, drawing from other gospels as well - the birth of Jesus (Luke 2), Jesus weeping for Jerusalem (Luke 13:34-35) and the death of Jesus (Matt. 27:50, Mark 15:39), and Psalm 30:5 as well. The style of the music is related to plainsong/chant, of course with some modern twists!
